Our team of Personal Development and Wellbeing Mentors offer additional practical support and advice to students who need support with:
Mental health issues including severe anxiety and depression.
Personal problems including drug, alcohol and gambling addictions.
Support for trans or gender questioning students.
Relationship difficulties including students who are at risk of homelessness.
Any situation where students feel that they are not safe and need help.
Listening Service - This team are on hand to listen as students talk through any difficulties that they are experiencing. They can support them to explore and develop strategies for managing these challenges.
Signposting Service - This team will point students in the right direction of specialist external support services, including charities, organisations, helplines, groups and societies, and resource websites, who can offer more targeted help.
Advocacy - This team will support students in communicating with the college and external agencies. They can accompany students to class or in-college meetings. With the student’s consent, they can liaise with tutors and other stakeholders on their behalf.

Safeguarding & Prevent
The safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors is a top priority and central to everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all young people and vulnerable adults feel protected and valued.
Everyone at college plays a vital role in safeguarding. All staff complete mandatory training in Safeguarding and Prevent (which focuses on identifying and preventing extremism and radicalisation). We also have designated Safeguarding Managers and trained staff responsible for safeguarding across our campuses.
We will always act in the best interests of our students.
What Safeguarding Means:
Promoting students’ health, wellbeing, and personal development
Ensuring their safety and care while at college
Supporting access to the best possible life opportunities
Protecting students from abuse, neglect, and exploitation
Preventing bullying, harassment, and discrimination
We have a designated team to protect our students and actively promote safeguarding
