Volunteering opportunity - Furniture Now!

Furniture Now! is a Sussex-based charity dedicated to reducing waste and supporting local communities. It provides affordable new and pre-loved furniture, appliances, and household items through its stores in Lewes, Eastbourne, and Hailsham. By collecting and redistributing donated goods, Furniture Now! helps families in need, prevents thousands of items from going to landfill, and promotes a circular economy. Alongside its retail services, the charity runs community projects such as upcycling workshops and skills programmes, creating opportunities for social inclusion and sustainable living.

How can you get involved?

We’re looking for creative and enthusiastic volunteers to help us promote our charity and enhance the customer experience. You could help with:

  • Social Media: Assist with creating engaging posts, sharing updates, and responding to comments across our platforms.

  • In-Store Support: Help customers, maintain displays, and ensure the shop is welcoming and well-organised.

  • Window Displays: Design and refresh eye-catching displays that showcase our furniture and homeware.

  • Online Shop: Upload products, write descriptions, and keep our e-commerce site (ebay) up to date.

This is a great opportunity to develop digital and retail skills while supporting a charity that makes a real difference in the community.
