Hope you all enjoyed Mental Health Day last Friday! A massive well done to Sharna from Wellbeing, who organised the event this year — what a great job!
I don’t work on Fridays so I didn’t make it down myself, but I heard there were some amazing moments — from delicious cakes and tarot cards to some great chats with the stalls.

Student Voice
Let’s congratulate those who have been selected as student representatives! They will be gathering feedback from their classes and working with me and staff to address any issues and make the college a better place. Please spread the word that the first meeting is on Wednesday( 15th) from 12:30 to 1:30 in GOO2. There will be party food!
London Trip to the Tate Modern
To celebrate Black History Month, we’re organising a trip to the Tate Modern to visit their Nigerian Modernism exhibition on 24th November.
"Set against the backdrop of cultural and artistic rebellion, Nigerian Modernism highlights the achievements of Nigerian artists working in the years surrounding the country's independence from British colonial rule in 1960."
We’ll meet at 9:00 AM and we’ll return to college by 5:00 PM at the latest.
The day will include:
A visit to the Nigerian Modernism exhibition (ticket included)
time to explore the Tate Modern’s other free exhibitions
A short walk from London Bridge to the gallery( 10 minutes), during which you’ll get a mini walking tour of central London from me.
We will cover the cost of the exhibition ticket and your train travel — you’ll just need to bring your own packed lunch, which you can enjoy at the gallery.
If you have any access needs or special requirements, please let us know in advance so we can support you.
This opportunity is first come, first served with only 20 spots available.
