Hey, happy International Women’s Day! 🎉

We have a surprise for you — our Women’s Day activities don’t end today!

This Friday at lunch, Skiltek will be running a badminton competition in the atrium, with prizes to be won — so come along and get involved.

We’ve also invited the inspiring Taban Shoresh, OBE — British aid worker, women’s rights activist, and founder of The Lotus Flower — to give a talk on 26th March from 1:15–2:00 PM in GOO2.

A Kurdish genocide survivor who narrowly escaped a mass live burial, Taban now dedicates her life to supporting women and girls affected by conflict.

It’s going to be a powerful and moving session — you won’t want to miss it. All genders are welcome.

This talk was sold out at Lewes Campus, so don’t miss your chance!

Join artist David Blandy for a gaming workshop exploring ideas of collaboration and imagination.

In the session, we will have an open discussion about gaming as a shared and imaginative activity, and how games can help us think together about society and the future.

You will then play David Blandy’s Our Place, No Place, a tabletop role-playing game that invites participants to imagine a shared world together, create characters, and respond to unfolding events, opening up new ways of thinking about collective life.
