On November 19, International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities.

We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being.

The three overarching core themes for International Men’s Day:

  1. Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys

  2. Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing

  3. Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity

Movember is our time to unite. To take on mental health, suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. During the month of November and on particular days at East Sussex College we shall be highlighting mental health with men and speaking about suicide prevention.
