    • Wednesday 21st January: Canine Concern - EC116 - 9.30am to 11.30am

      • Come and spend a relaxing time with three dogs. Tutor booking required

    • Thursday 22nd January: Stall Holder Event - The Refectory - 12pm to 1:15pm

      • Come and speak to several charities and businesses about Health and Wellbeing topics or get treated to a beauty treatment.

    • Or try out one of our many clubs and societies for the week!

    • Complete the survey before the end of January 2026 for a chance to win a Β£30 Amazon voucher β€” there are five up for grabs.

  • Trades and Construction Enterprise Day - Sign Up

    • Wednesday 11th February - 10am to 4pm - Hammond Hall

  • Get to Know the University of Brighton

    • Check out their upcoming talks for advice and guidance on how to prepare for university.

  • Take Ten Today

    • Head to the library and read for 10 minutes once per week to collect stamps.

    • After completing your loyalty card, you can redeem it for a free drink.

TRADES AND CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISE DAY

The purpose of the event is to support Eastbourne trades-based residents (specifically existing students, apprentices and apprentices that have just finished) with entrepreneurial skills and confidence to consider either self-employment as a viable and rewarding career path, or growth within their current company.

It will take place on Wednesday 11 February, 10am-4pm in Hammond Hall.

There will be several keynote speakers who will cover topics around customer focus and branding, market research and planning, money (pricing, costs, learning about quotes, invoicing & cash flow), social media, sales pitches, and ways to generate business and pitching.

Online information, advice and guidance events

Don't miss our upcoming online advice and guidance events to help you explore how to prepare for university. All events are held on Microsoft Teams at 5-6pm. Book your place on our online guidance events.

Teaching application and interview advice sessions - various dates from November - February

These sessions will give students interested in applying for a teaching training course top tips for applying, and advice on how to succeed at interview.


TAKE TEN TODAY

Any time, any day, take 10 minutes to read once a week and get a stamp on your loyalty card from the Library Team.

How it works:

  • Come to the Library to choose from a selection of great books and reading resources.

  • Read for 10 minutes.

  • Collect a TAKE TEN Reward Card from the Library desk. Get a stamp for each week that you read towards a free drink.

    *Maximum of one stamp per week.
